Fully Funded PhD Studentships in Law for 2015-2016
including full AHRC studentships

The School of Law within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Keele University, comprises world-class scholars and research clusters. In RAE 2008, 50% of work submitted by the School of Law was rated as world-leading or internationally excellent. The School has particular research strength in Healthcare and Bioethics; International and European Law, Professions, Practice, and Legal Education; Private Law, Theory and Practice; and Social Justice and Human Rights http://www.keele.ac.uk/law/research/researchclusters/. Across these clusters, researchers draw on a range of socio-legal, critical, analytical-philosophical and doctrinal approaches.

The School brings together approximately 30 active researchers and 40 postgraduate research students in a vibrant, interdisciplinary environment. Our facilities include dedicated office suites and meeting rooms for postgraduate research students, transferable skills training, and funding to support research expenses and conference attendance.

For 2015-2016, the Centre is offering a range of studentship opportunities. Applications are invited from high quality prospective doctoral students in all areas of legal scholarship in which we have appropriate supervisory expertise.

Our postgraduate funding opportunities for 2015-16 include:

    Fully funded AHRC studentships
    Full Studentships (fees at UK/EU rate and annual maintenance grant)
    Graduate Teaching Assistantships (fees at UK/EU rate and annual maintenance grant)
    Bursaries and Fee Waivers (fees/part fees at UK/EU rate)

A full studentship includes an annual tax-free stipend at RCUK rate plus tuition fee (£13, 863 and £3,996 for 2014/15).
